The 2009 Woodward Dream Cruise was held on Saturday, August 15, 2009. While not an organized event for the Motor City Galaxie Club, 20 members and 11 spouses brought 16 Galaxies and 5 other Fords to the Royal Oak Ford Body Shop on the east side of Woodward Avenue in between 12 Mile and 13 Mile Roads in Royal Oak, hosted by John & Elaine Vermeersch. The members, spouses and vehicles in attendance throughout the day were:

Saturday, August 15, 2009 was a very special day for club member Larry Grice. During the 15th Annual Woodward Dream Cruise, and only a short walk from the Galaxies parked at the Royal Oak Ford Body Shop to the Kroger parking lot on the southwest corner of Woodward Avenue and West 13 Mile Road, Larry got down on one knee and proposed to his girlfriend Vicky Leader!
Their first date had been on that exact spot in the parking lot exactly 3 years earlier during the week leading up to the 2006 Woodward Dream Cruise. Congratulations Larry & Vicky, and here's to many happy miles together!
